THE CD HAS UNFOLDED!
The video premiers on TV March 30th at midnight on Logo
(technically March 31st) Choose from these links to see the Funplex video:
To spot me: I'm wearing a long white blouse with a
v-neck, black pants and my hair is down. Everyone tells me I look REALLY happy.
Uh... Duh! Look in the
background during the concert scene at the end: I love that it starts out with muzak! I want a full length muzak version and I want to hear it in an elevator some day! The video will be aired on VH-1 and Logo (at the least.) It's on Logo on NewNowNext Music Sunday 3/30 at midnight (Monday.) No details about VH-1 yet. The Funplex CD is DELICIOUS! I had heard many songs live, listened to a few tunes digitally, but this new CD is AMAZING! Even those songs I had heard before. So clean, so loud and sexy, SO MUCH FUN! I kept thinking "The World's Greatest Party Band" is not just a line they throw around. It fits. It so fits. Funplex is simply a pure party experience. Wow. You MUST get this CD! And you must get it from Target. They include a bonus CD of live tracks from the Roxy in November 2007. It was a great show (you hear that person screaming? That's me!) and I was amazed at how great the recording was, especially since Keith mentioned after the sound check that it sounded really bad on stage. Apparently they fixed it! About being a FUN-PLEXtra: I drove up to Hollywood on February 29th and spent a grueling but absolutely enjoyable and satisfying 16 hour day at the Ben Kitay Stages being an extra in the video along with about 30 other volunteers and about 10 professional extras. Funplex is a song about love lost at a shopping mall, diet pills, wonder bras, horrible smells, muzak and unhappy daytime waitresses at the Taco Tiki Hut. Here I try to tell the video extra story. The "prologue" is everything that led up to the day of the recording, "offstage" is everything that happened while waiting to record, "onstage" is everything that happened inside the studio, and "extras" is a list of quotes, YouTube videos and MySpace stuff or other things that became bonding elements for the gang. Thanks for visiting!
